Description
Initial resuscitative trauma care at MTFs relies on execution of clinical skills by all involved personnel that translate to military medicine wartime capabilities. Naval Hospital Guam is one of three hospitals on a resource-limited island, caring for both military and civilian trauma patients. This diverse and medically complex care enhances the Navy Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) of physicians, non-physician providers, nurses, and Corpsmen that will ultimately benefit patient care down range. This project will review trauma activation data from Fiscal Year 2025 to examine patient assessments, interventions, and procedures performed in the emergency department of Naval Hospital Guam. Data presented will quantify the clinical readiness value of trauma resuscitative care provided following clinical activity checklists for critical wartime specialties as defined by the Navy KSA score.
