Description

This presentation will explore the Air Force's strategic shift in providing medical care within contested environments. It addresses the challenges of limited resources, degraded communications, and compromised evacuation. It will discuss enhanced point-of-injury care, augmented forward medical facilities, the strategic use of telemedicine and autonomous systems, and maximizing interoperability across the federal healthcare system. Emphasis will be placed on innovative solutions to support deployed forces and mitigate the risks associated with contested battlespaces. Lastly this will discuss how the ability to project medical power in contested areas of operation aligns with SecWar priorities of rebuilding the military, re-establishing deterrence, and (by extension) supporting military readiness.
