Commander of the Reserve Dr. Albert Eisenbarth studied biology in Tübingen focusing on parasitology and medical entomology of the tropics. Before he has started working as a Medical Entomologist for the German Armed Forces in Hamburg 5 years ago, he coordinated veterinary research projects with African partners at the Friedrich-Loeffler-Institute for Animal Health in Greifswald. Throughout his career he has been closely collaborating with international partners, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa, to study transmission dynamics of endemic vector-borne diseases.
