Jihad Slim, MD is the Chief of Infectious Diseases at Saint Michael's Medical Center in Newark, NJ and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at New York Medical College, Valhalla, NY. Dr. Slim earned his MD at the Jesuits French Medical School in Beirut, Lebanon. After completing a fellowship in Nephrology in France, he completed his Internal Medicine residency and his Fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Saint Michael's Medical Center, Newark. He is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with a subspecialty in Infectious Diseases and a Member of the Infectious Disease Society of America and the American Society of Microbiology. He has numerous peer-reviewed publications to his credit and has been the principal investigator of over 125 clinical trials. Dr. Slim's clinical research interests include antibiotic stewardship, HIV disease, hepatitis C, and COVID-19.
