Date & Time

Description

Describe the importance of having approved Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) Operational Requirements which allow two important actions to occur: (1.) Research Laboratories can transition their discoveries/capabilities to Program Offices who can test and improve these discoveries and deploy solutions to the Operational Forces. (2.) Approved operational requirements can result in capabilities being added to mTOEs, such that deployed Soldiers have what they need to perform their missions. Explain the JCIDS Process, which is long and arduous; to increase an understanding of what the process entails; the timelines; and approval entities-resulting in an increased willingness and comfort level to engage in this process. List the lessons identified while pursuing and successfully completing the JCIDS Process that resulted in approval of a Joint Operational Virtual Health Capabilities Based Assessment (CBA) and a DOTmILPF-P Change Recommendation (DCR) Documents culminating in validated and approved operational requirements.
