Date & Time
Monday, February 12, 2024, 12:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Description

The training of professional chaplains has developed over the last several decades with the compilation of measurable outcomes grounded in ethical principles. In addition to the implementation of measurable outcomes, the development of core professional competencies, panel interviews, graded examinations, and continuing education are utilized as requirements for chaplaincy board certification. Examination of this evolving field revealed federal agency examples of collaborative partnerships that are advancing public health, professional standards, and incorporating requirements for chaplains which mirror that of other healthcare providers.
