Date & Time
Monday, February 12, 2024, 12:00 PM
Description

In this session, we will very succinctly discuss the need for Prolonged Casualty Care (PCC) and how our project meets challenges of conducting PCC in a dismounted environment. We will then discuss the objectives of our project, specifically the creation of the first-ever Prolonged Field Care Kit (PFAK) to provide 24 hours of standardized PCC equipment/medications, and the PCC Rucksack (PCCR) to carry the PFAK. We will then discuss the methods used to create the PFAK and PCCR and then describe the result, including multiple photographs to make both products more tangible. Lastly, we will discuss next steps for project milestones and how the PFAK and PCCR would fit into larger military efforts to implement PCC.
