Description

This Naval Hospital was servicing patients from a Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) that had failed their flight deck screening due to vision readiness standards, including needing spectacle lenses and/or not having a recent comprehensive eye examination by a licensed optometrist. The main objective was to increase the medical readiness of HSM Squadron. This project increased operational readiness by 57 percent while also complying with the American Optometric Associations guidelines.
