Description
Kaiser Permanente signed the Veteran Interoperability Pledge in September of 2023. The Veteran Interoperability Pledge works toward developing a framework to allow Veteran Health Administration (VHA) and community providers like Kaiser Permanente to securely exchange information to assist in the care of Veterans receiving treatment inside and outside VA. Authoritative Veteran identification allows KP to connect Veterans quickly and confidently to additional care and benefits, regardless of whether they are enrolled or have received care at VA health facilities. Kaiser Permanente aims to honor America’s Veterans by providing exceptional health care that improves their health and well-being, and will collaborate with the Department of Veterans Affairs in advancing technologies that improve care coordination and efficiency of care for Veterans, their families, caregivers, and survivors.
