Description

As an MTOE (Modification Table of Organizational Equipment) unit, we must always be ready to deploy and fight tonight. We must conduct training exercises in order to familiarize ourselves on how to set up a dental field unit in any condition. This includes setting up tents, starting generators, driving tactical vehicles, and using mobile dental equipment. A fully functional field dental clinic can be established in 3 hours which includes a treatment tent, sterilization tent, and x-ray tent. Medical care is not the only care a soldier may need in the field. They may also experience dental traumas or dental emergencies in a deployed setting. Our field equipment is capable of taking x-rays and diagnosing dental issues, along with treating most dental procedures. Our field equipment can handle routine hygiene appointment, to operative, endodontic, and oral surgery procedures. Dental field medicine is important for our soldiers and should not be neglected in a field environment.
