Description

The Military Health System (MHS) is a comprehensive health system that provides care to 9.6 million active-duty military personnel, retirees, and their families. This session features in-depth discussions on the establishment of standardized protocols, the use of essential quality and safety measures (using both internal and independent, external organizations); the integration of technologies to improve care delivered to remote and medically underserved communities; and the establishment of centers of excellence for patients and provider reach-back. The session will underscore the opportunity for collaborative efforts between military and civilian health systems to support both readiness needs and manage clinically complex cases worldwide.
