Description

The alarming rise in suicide rates among active-duty military personnel and Veterans demands urgent attention and action. While there are many resilience and suicide prevention programs, it’s clear that we need better measurement to understand impact and scale these successes across the military and VA. 54% of service members who died by suicide in 2023 had no behavioral health diagnosis. Implementing widespread measurement can help military and VA leaders understand what programs are working and deliver more impactful support at scale, intervening in the moments that count.
