Description

Cancer is a Readiness Issue for the DoD. Over 1,200 active duty servicemembers are diagnosed every year with cancer, and over 15,000 servicemembers have a past diagnosis of cancer. Murtha Cancer Center is the DoD's only Center of Excellence for cancer, and we have a robust Cancer Survivorship program, and a robust Adolescent and Young Adults with cancer program, both of which result in superior retention rates of active duty treated for cancer. Our programs will be described in detail in this session by the experts.
