Speaker Bio
Rovigel “Jill” Gelviro is a Commander in the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps. She serves
as Team Lead for the Preparedness and Partnership Management Program within the Readiness and
Deployment Branch (RDB) at Commissioned Corps Headquarters (CCHQ). Prior to this role, she held
positions as Program Manager for the Preparedness and Field Exercises Program and as the Super
Region West USPHS Regional Liaison Officer within the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health and
CCHQ. Additionally, she worked as a clinical pharmacist at Southcentral Foundation’s Rural Anchorage
Service Unit and as an HIV pharmacist at the Alaska Native Medical Center’s HIV program in Anchorage,
Alaska. CDR Gelviro obtained a Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy Specialty and an HIV Pharmacist
certification from the American Academy of HIV Medicine. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree
from the University of Hawaii’s Daniel K. Inouye College of Pharmacy and is currently stationed at
Buckley Space Force Base in Aurora, Colorado.
