Dr. Sadler is a Core Investigator with the HSR&D Center for Access & Delivery Research and Evaluation(CADRE) and a professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Iowa’s Carver College of Medicine. Dr. Sadler is a marital & family therapist by training and her research has focused on identifying factors for and health consequences associated with sexual violence in military women and post-deployment mental health care needs of recent era war Veterans and ways to engage them in care through eHealth and shared decision-making. Her current work focuses on women-Veteran centric firearm suicide risk-mitigation. Dr. Sadler is the Post-Deployment Health Strategic Priority Area Lead for the VA Women’s Health Research Network.
