Dr. Kalyn Jannace is a contractor with the Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine. She serves as a Senior Scientist and the Associate Director of Biostatistics, Data, and Epidemiology at the Center for Advanced Research for Military Optimization, Rehabilitation, and Readiness at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. With over a decade of experience in military health research, she leads multidisciplinary studies focused on injury rehabilitation, chronic pain, and health disparities among active duty service members—particularly women. Presently, she is examining musculoskeletal injuries, pelvic floor disorder rehabilitation, and return-to-duty outcomes among female service members. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and presented extensively at national military health symposia, including recent work on sex-based differences in rehabilitation utilization and behavioral health outcomes following limb loss. Dr. Jannace holds a PhD in Epidemiology with a minor in Biostatistics and a breadth in Environmental and Occupational Health from the University of Texas School of Public Health, and an MPH from East Carolina University. She is also an Assistant Professor at USUHS, where she teaches guest lectures occupational and environmental epidemiology with a focus on Department of Defense occupational variables in military health studies. Her work bridges research, evidence-based practice, and policy to advance the health and readiness of military women.
