Maj Nathan Stevenson is an assistant professor in the Family and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, Doctor of Nursing Practice Program at The Uniformed Services University. He serves as the Director of Operational Readiness Curriculum for the program and a member of the Defense Health Agency Nursing Research and Innovation Committee.
Maj Stevenson commissioned as an Air Force Officer in July 2010 through ROTC. He has served as a medical surgical nurse, charge nurse, flight nurse, operations group executive officer, Patient Movement Coordinator, Operational Medicine Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, and Flight Commander. He has deployed twice and was embedded with the Army where he served as MEDEVAC Battle Captain for the Combined Joint Operations Area-Afghanistan. Maj Stevenson obtained additional joint service experience as a Patient Movement Clinical Coordinator for USTRANSCOM’s INDOPACOM Patient Movement Requirements Center. Prior to his current position, he served as the Family Health Flight Commander, 75th Health Care Operations Squadron, Hill AFB, Utah where he led a 24-member outpatient clinic.
