Description

With the simultaneous increase in the threat of large-scale combat operations and contingency operations throughout the world, military medical organizations are having to transform to meet multiple very different mission sets. This panel will explore how several other nations have tackled this issue and discuss how those lesson learned might be applied to other nations. Objectives: 1. Discuss how recent worldwide events have impacted the development of new policies, training programs, and organizational alignments to better meet changing military medical mission sets 2. Review lessons learned from recent efforts to adapt to the new requirements generated by current events 3. Extrapolate how recent lessons learned can (and should) inform medical planning for future conflicts
